Websites and tools that allow users to interact instantly on the
internet with a community built upon commonalities (location, school,
interests). No longer is word of mouth done over a cup of coffee with
one friend. Now it's about blogs, events, and status updates that allow
hundreds of partial acquaintances to know someone's favorite
restaurants, bars, and music venues. And their least favorite.
